The GTZ, Germany has provided in-kind contribution for Euro 5 million with an overall goal to enable the MSMEs to have better access to qualitatively appropriate financial and non-financial enterprise-oriented services. The non-financial component focuses on strategic plan for BDS activities, development of monitoring system and pilot measures concerning the development of BDS markets.
Under GTZ implementation programme, four regions have been selected as pilot Project areas under BDS for technical assistance:
- New Delhi and nearby districts of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
- Indore region of Madhya Pradesh.
- Hyderabad region of Andhra Pradesh.
- Haridwar/Roorkee/ Dehradun region of Uttaranchal.
GTZ Technical Cooperation
The objective of the technical cooperation (TC) is to improve SME access to financial services (including term finance) and business development services. The Project is designed to achieve this objective through a multi-pronged approach that addresses key bottlenecks to SME financing and business development in India.
The overall goal of the German TC contribution is that of

The GTZ TC has two main components. The first component promotes the development of strategies and programmes concerning market based development of business development services (BDS).
